A generous collection of scrambled Nintendo logos, the kind that appears when the pins of a cartridge (esp. on homebrew carts) don’t line up correctly or are dirty or otherwise unreadable on the original Game Boy.
I’ve been having this problem quite a bit lately due to a faulty pin connection on one of my LSDJ carts. Luckily, chiptune tech dealer Nonfinite was in town to perform at last night’s amazing Game Boy 21st birthday bash at Pulsewave and was nice enough to replace my glitchy cart free of charge! What a nice fellow.
Still, there’s a special kind of beauty in these glitched-out logos. In a way, I’m kinda starting to miss seeing them.
